ZY SOLAR and First Deputy Prime Minister of the Kingdom of Cambodia, Sun Chanthol, had a Deep Meeting

On December 10, 2024, at the invitation of the Development and Investment Committee of the Kingdom of Cambodia, Mr. Weng Kang, Chairman of Medi Group, and Mr. Ken Wu, General Manager of ZY Solar, jointly went to Phnom Penh, the capital of Cambodia, to meet with Mr. Sun Chanthol, First Deputy Prime Minister of Cambodia, to discuss the green energy development plan in Cambodia.

The Kingdom of Cambodia, as a shining star in the new energy field in Southeast Asia, and as an important partner of the "the Belt and Road" initiative, attaches great importance to the vigorous development of the new energy industry, especially to China's advanced and mature new energy technology. The core topic of this cooperation is a major investment plan led by Medi Group, which aims to complete up to 400 million dollars in investment deployment within three years. Construct a green industrial park in Svay Rieng Province, Cambodia, and plan to invest in the construction of a 500 megawatt (MW) photovoltaic power station in the area. As the cooperative manufacturer of photovoltaic modules for this project, ZY solar has joined hands with Medi Group to jointly promote the successful implementation of the above-mentioned project.

The Kingdom of Cambodia plans to achieve a 70% proportion of new energy substitution by 2030, with the main energy development plans currently focused on the utilization of solar energy resources. At this meeting, Mr. Ken Wu, General Manager of ZY solar, comprehensively and meticulously demonstrated ZY solar's outstanding technical strength and production capacity in the photovoltaic industry to Deputy Prime Minister Sun Chanthol. He emphasized that with the company's profound experience and outstanding strength in this field, we fully have the ability and confidence to undertake and successfully construct a 500 MW photovoltaic power plant project. Subsequently, Deputy Prime Minister Sun Chanthol also elaborated on Cambodia's development blueprint and plan in the field of new energy to the Chinese delegation. At the same time, we are also confident in the products of ZY solar and eagerly look forward to witnessing the widespread application of ZY solar products in the Kingdom of Cambodia in the future.

Also attending this meeting were the Director of the Development and Investment Commission of Cambodia, the Secretary-General of the State Council of Cambodia, the Minister of Tourism of Cambodia, as well as leaders of relevant departments of the State Council of Cambodia.
